Joe Biden says Trump re-election strategy 'relies on vilifying immigrants'

Gimme me that cash, Bernie. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., with American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten also in attendance. Elizabeth Warren. She is perhaps Sanders' biggest threat for support on Democrats' left flank. That, however, isn't the point.

Sanders' plan is the latest - and most aggressive - one from a 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful to tackle the mounting student loan debt problem in the country.

It remains unclear how much approval the Sanders or Castro plans now have with voters. Unlike Elizabeth Warren's plan to deal with the student debt crisis-which benefits those with incomes of less that $250,000 and caps forgiveness at $50,000-under Sanders' plan, everyone will have their debt canceled, no matter how poor or how rich. A Democrat last won the state in a presidential election in 1976, and Republican President Donald Trump triumphed in SC in 2016 with 54.9% of the vote.

According to a fact sheet released by Sanders' office, the estimated cost of the bill, $2.2 trillion, would be paid for by creating a Wall Street speculation tax of.05 percent on stock trades, a.005 percent fee on derivatives, and a 0.1 percent fee on bonds.

Warren's campaign estimates that her plans for debt relief and tuition-free college would cost $1.25 trillion over ten years. And it's not hard to see why this is popular among young people and students.

Her approach also makes her plans much less likely to require tax hikes on middle-class Americans. Under the Sanders plan, if in case you have scholar debt of any sort it could be canceled the second the laws are signed into regulation.

"We are also going to look for those who over-perform expectations or people who have that type of viral moment that gets people out there", Gillespie told VOA via Skype. On average, college graduates earn about $1 million more during their lifetimes than non-college graduates, according to a Georgetown University study.

"We are going to forgive student debt in this country", Sanders said last weekend.

Club for Growth's poll found voters are less inclined to vote for Biden if they were told he previously had taken positions that include opposing slavery reparations and busing of school children as part of desegregation systems. Iran shooting down a US drone - and Trump's apparent last-minute decision not to conduct counterstrikes - will make foreign policy questions much more likely. What about all of the kids who started working in high school to pay for college? "The company wing of the Democratic Celebration is publicly 'any one but Bernie.' They know our progressive agenda of Medicare for All, breaking up big banks, taking on drug corporations and elevating wages is the staunch likelihood to the billionaire class".

Biden has come under fire from fellow Democrats after recently recalling that the Senate was once a more civil place, pointing to his work with two segregationist former senators. Another $600 billion would go to make public universities and community colleges free. So while free tuition is great, not needing a higher education is would be even better.

"[The poll results] would appear to validate the campaign's theory that the Democratic base isn't almost as liberal or youthful as everyone thinks, and that the media is mistaking the disproportionately progressive Democratic voices on Twitter for the sentiments of the wider Democratic electorate", Politico claims.
