Stanley Cup Final: Bruins vs

They trailed 3-2 in their first-round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs and won the last two games.

While some Blues fans may appreciate the "sneak peek", one wonders how many are wary of this premature victory lap being a potential jinx.

"If you had asked me in February whether I'd take a Game 7 on the road for the Cup, I'd say yes", he said. After all, it's been 65 years since it has happened. The Boston Bruins should be favored off of home ice and experience, but I'm not sure about this steep price.

There are many storylines to follow heading into what should be a highly entertaining, winner-take-all Game 7 on Wednesday night, but how Boston attempts to take St. Louis' best line out of the equation may be the most fascinating. Maybe we got too far ahead of ourselves or maybe we fooled ourselves into thinking it would be easy. If you feel the Blues will wrap up the series in six games, the payout is at -153. Game seven is what sports junkies talk about for decades after the fact.

"I defer to them on days like this for preparation, to help with the younger guys", Cassidy said Monday before leaving St. Louis. Or old ones are coming out of the woodwork. "I myself had a couple chances and didn't put them where I wanted to". The Blues hold a 3-2 series lead over the Bruins.

95 - Years the Bruins have existed.

"They played tight", Blues forward Alex Steen said. His history to this point suggests he'll be up to the task.

Rask finished with 28 saves. It'll be up to him, captain Zdeno Chara, winger Brad Marchand, centre David Krejci and goaltender Tuukka Rask to impart some lessons from winning in 2011 and also losing to Chicago in the final in 2013 - the time Bergeron played through broken ribs and a punctured lung but didn't get to lift the Cup a second time. Compared the rest of the playoffs, his stats in the finals have not been eye-popping - his save percentage is.925 and his goals-against average is 2.16 - but he has been a rock for the Bruins. They do not and can not care how much a ticket is going for. The team is 0-for-5 in the last two games. This creates a conundrum.

"We killed that penalty in the first period".

You could argue that it's not at all foolish and that he'd deliver the biggest performance of his career with the odds stacked against him in such a fashion. And it's hard to argue.

Even if you take the money spent out of it, the problem was it never really felt like a Stanley Cup Final game. Fans packed Enterprise Center hoping to hear Gloria as the Blues skated around the rink with the Cup raised above their heads. The Blues outshot the Bruins 5-1 early, then got the first power play. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Rask has been even better in series clinchers. If the NHL's rotation is adhered to, it should be Steve Kozari and Kelly Sutherland officiating Game 7. And all in, they have been on the ice for just four goals and a plus-two goal advantage.

Game 6 is slated to get underway at 8 p.m.

It's tough not to think about different games, especially in the playoffs, but I think we've done a good job as a group just taking games, putting them behind us when need be and just focusing on the next one, and I think this is going to be like no other.
