End violence, work towards peace: Trump to Palestinians

Israeli warplanes did not stop there as they began targeting the al Bureij and al Shati refugee camps in Gaza with a barrage of missiles.

"The battle will not end until the occupation responds affirmatively to our people's demands", the Joint Command Center of Armed Palestinian factions in Gaza said in a statement early on May 6.

By midnight local time, the Times of Israel reported that Hamas leadership had approved the cease fire proposal, set to go into effect at midnight.

One, Falastin Saleh Abu Arar, was holding her 14-month-old niece Sebba Mahmoud Abu Arar on her lap when they were both killed by shrapnel on Saturday. Militants also killed a person with an anti-tank missile near the frontier.

In Gaza, militant groups identified eight fighters killed in Israeli strikes, while medical officials said that nine civilians also died, including a couple and their baby daughter. Israel has not commented on that death.

The IDF has retaliated throughout the conflict by hitting 320 targets in the Gaza Strip.

Israel also lifted restrictions on civilian movements in communities around the Gaza border on Monday morning.
