Another Cold Blast On Its Way, Possible Snow Or Wintry Mix

A warm & sunny Monday is expected with high temperatures reaching the mid-60's.
In Minneapolis, Minnesota, where gusts brought a wind chill factor as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit (-29 Celsius), residents refused to cancel an outdoor hockey championship event on a frozen pond. We dry out over the weekend and slowly warm up near 30 on Saturday, low 40s possible into Sunday. Arctic air then builds over the region into Thursday, which is likely to be the coldest day of the winter so far. Snow ends this evening but we'll continue to see a lot of blowing snow tonight.
Hamilton's Medical Officer of Health has issued a cold weather alert effective overnight Friday into Saturday. Then the winds will increase bringing in moisture & some big changes. (Dave Epstein/WBUR) A blast of abnormal cold arrives midweek.
This morning remains relatively quiet with not much on the radar.a few flurries (mainly north) and roads solid overall for the early rush hour. Wind chills values will be even colder than that which keeps the frostbite potential around.
Today: Snow, heavy at times, slight chance mix south of US-30.
Snow starts light and spotty Tuesday morning and fills-in throughout the day.
Starting Tuesday morning, actual temperatures will not climb above the single digits until Friday morning. Breezy. High of 33.
Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers.
The main threat for this system is going to be black ice forming overnight with the sub-freezing temperatures.
