Reasons the Chargers Will Upset the Ravens

The Ravens, for their part, would probably be a week into their off-season, after losing the AFC North to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens defense is well rested. Baltimore isn't going to feel sorry for the Chargers scheduling adversity. They are 7-1 away from home this season. Two weeks is not much time for Los Angeles to make some heavy adjustments. They do not know how to stop him when they play breaks down and he takes off running. That will mean containing his run game - whether by utilizing a linebacker or safety as a spy or by outside containment by the front seven.

Jackson was seven years old when Rivers entered the NFL.

Before that, the Ravens delivered New England arguably two of its most devastating home playoff losses in franchise history. In two games against the Colts this season, Watson was sacked a whopping 12 times.

Henry, 24, had 45 catches for 579 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games last season, his second in the NFL. And so will the offensive weapons around him. Neither the Ravens or Chargers are obvious Super Bowl contenders, but both teams are extremely unsafe at this time of the year. They've been invigorated by Jackson's electrifying running game, which is a natural complement to the Ravens' excellent defense. However, he did score a touchdown in that game. "You don't think the Chargers are going to be in it?" Los Angeles held Jackson to 39 yards rushing on 13 carries in Week 16, the best job anyone has done against Jackson since he became a starter.

Jim Harbaugh's defense is always one of the best in the league. More to the point, they did enough to give their offense a chance to win at the end. The last three games, the Chargers explosive plays have been cut in half. They have seen his speed, and they have experienced Baltimore's run-option attack. A win will not occur if Gordon III is not touching the football at least 20 to 30 times in this game. No matter how you slice it, the Chargers are the better team from top to bottom.
