FACT CHECK: Did Barron Trump Benefit from Birthright Citizenship?

Whenever American mothers happen to give birth in another country, each child is an AMERICAN because the mother is an American. Although many groups throughout history were not afforded equal rights and many continue to be subject to discrimination, the ideal of equality has been rooted in the foundations of this country since the beginning.
There is also the phenomenon of "birth tourism", when wealthy people from overseas travel here purely to gain US citizenship for their soon-to-arrive infants. It, as your editorial clearly stated, was written (by Republicans to the chagrin of Democrats) to ensure citizenship for freed slaves at a time when travel to the USA was hard and time consuming.
"Going forward, I would like a policy, or policies, that will discourage illegal immigration", Hilton said.
"Even Republicans are gasping at the idea" of yanking USA citizenship away from people, said Baldemar Velasquez, president of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC), in a telephone interview. This self-serving bias reveals the contradictory nature of the beliefs held by those who support Trump. "They're full citizens", he said.
The most famous instance was when Brown v. Board of Education 347 USA 483 (1954) reversed the long-standing "separate but equal" ruling in Plessy v. Ferguson 163 US 537 (1896).
"You don't realise what a big industry - it's an industry". Sadly, we have come to expect hateful and discriminatory language from the president and many of his followers. We are the walking, talking, realized American dream. "It's insane", he said. Generally speaking, relying on our Constitution is a winning strategy, but you have to apply that standard across the board, not selectively.
"The bosom of America is open to receive not only the Opulent and respectable Stranger, but the oppressed and persecuted of all Nations And Religions; whom we shall wellcome to a participation of all our rights and privileges, if by decency and propriety of conduct they appear to merit the enjoyment". And that dictator has his wife have a baby on American soil.
January 8, 2019 (BREITBART) - A federal district court judge struck down President Trump's orders today awarding citizenship only to friends and family, saying, "You can't run the country like it's a Manhattan co-op".
Birthright citizens in turn can then bring their entire extended family into the country through chain migration.
Similarly, while the lawsuit charges that the Trump administration has violated various provisions of the Immigration and Naturalization Act, especially those related to the granting of asylum and detention of aliens, the plaintiffs have not been denied asylum, detained, or otherwise affected by Trump's promised protection of the border. Any person in the United States, even a foreign tourist, is subject to United States laws while here.
Guess what? "They" are wrong. They think it's good politically for them to make us all go through hell to get those laws changed.
Trump also says he will stop granting asylum to illegal immigrants. So far in his first term, President Trump has signed 77 executive orders.
In times of uncertainty - including periods with high immigration and economic transitions - we should look for ways to uphold, not attack, the Constitution and America's lasting values of compassion and strength through diversity.
"The weakest members of American society are callously being used by President Trump for political expediency and that is unconscionable", said AHRC Executive Director Ihad Ahmad. In a 6-2 ruling, it touched on the text and history of the actual amendment only lightly and made a decision to cement the definition of citizenship we'd inherited from English common law, where everyone born in the country is treated as a natural subject.
The lawsuit is frivolous and the complaint-which reads more like a transcript from a late-night MSNBC segment than a legal document-served only one goal: to focus media attention on Trump's statements about the caravan and the administration's detention of illegal aliens. The call is to redefine the Fourteenth Amendment to exclude citizenship for children born in the United States to parents who are undocumented, or in temporary lawful status. The reality however, is that most undocumented people come to the United States for safety and/or economic reasons, and "anchor babies" are simply not part of the immigration trend.
So if Trump wants to test the limits of birthright citizenship, he really needs Congress to move, which it won't.
