Making use of the slider design maximizes screen real estate providing a true 93.4 percent screen to body ratio without including an unsightly notch. On the front, the Mi Mix 3 has a 24-megapixel main sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel depth sensor for bokeh shots. Xiaomi also says that a 5G version of the Mi Mix 3 will be available in the first quarter, making it one of the first such devices to hit the market. Though impressive, this powerhouse is (kind of) old news at this point in mobile technology; what's really novel about the Mi Mix 3 is actually a feature reminiscent of phones from the 2000s: it's a slider. The top end of the slider has the earpiece for calls. Sliding mechanisms have been used in phones before, but Xiaomi is replying it as a solution to a new problem. The phone is equipped with AMOLED-display 6.39 inches, having a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 6.8 or 10 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of internal memory and a battery 3850 mAh.
The first ever beautifully crafted smartphone with a high screen-to-body ratio is actually from Xiaomi with their original Mi MIX smartphone from a few years ago.
According to Donovan Sung, Director of Product Management at Xiaomi Global, Xiaomi picked the sliding form factor in order to "create the ultimate full screen display smartphone without compromising on camera performance, including features like steady handheld night photography and 960fps slow-motion video". However, users felt that the position of front camera could be different. None of the previous Mi Mix phones have and I don't expect that to change here.
The smartphone support 960 fps slow motion video recording.
Some of the other specs for the phone are a mixed bag of good and maybe not so good. Sung noted that they've "successfully tested 5G data connections on Xiaomi phones, and. can't wait for the official rollout of 5G next year!" In addition, Xiaomi does not provide a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB.
Along with the decal-sporting Forbidden City edition (also referred to as the Palace Museum edition), the Mi Mix 3 will also be available in Onyx Black, Jade Green and Sapphire Blue color options.
