Megyn Kelly OUT at NBC

Despite her tearful on-air apology on Wednesday, People reports that show staff is now being notified that they will no longer be working on the show. According to the publications, NBC network execs "think it might be flawless time to give her Today time slot to Kelly, who has a huge fan base and is extremely well-liked and relatable", a source told Radar.

An official statement has yet to be made by the network.

The appointment of Kelly's attorney comes as the anchor has parted ways with her agency, CAA. "If Megyn is leaving, they better also be telling us that [executive producer] Jackie Levin is following her out the door", the insider said. In 2015, a Pittsburgh woman named Megan Kelly made headlines after she started getting an influx of emails meant for the then-Fox News host.

Kelly's arrival at NBC was widely trumpeted as a huge win for the network.

"The country feels so divided and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense", she said in a tweet Wednesday.

The Daily Mail has learned that Kelly's team began multiple negotiations with rival networks once the backlash came rolling in from the host's offensive comments. Even her own coanchors condemned her "ignorant" and "racist" dialogue. On the subject of the "costume police" injecting political correctness on Halloween, Kelly discussed blackface with an all-white panel, and her comments got her in hot water.

So the big question here is, "Why did NBC publicly shank Megyn Kelly?".

"I was wrong and I am sorry", Kelly said. NBC News chair Andy Lack spoke about the situation during a town hall meeting.

Regardless of her employment status, Kelly will reportedly be paid her entire $69 million contract. And her suggestion for NBC to hire an "outside investigator" to look into Farrow's obstructed reporting on Weinstein probably wasn't popular among her bosses.

Aside from the morning show, Kelly was brought on to NBC to host a Sunday night news magazine show.

"Megyn Kelly is done", one source - named as an NBC executive - said. So who really has the last blackface-but-only-if-it's-a-costume laugh? "First day on the job @NBCNews!" she tweeted, posting a black-and-white photo of herself standing in front of NBC's peacock at the network's 30 Rockefeller Plaza headquarters.

In recent months, prior to the recent controversy, tensions have been growing between Kelly and NBC News management.
