Jose Mourinho has the best players in the Premier League, says Sarri

Sarri's Chelsea host Mourinho and United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday aiming to maintain an unbeaten start to the Premier League season that means they sit behind leaders Manchester City only on goal difference.

It may have boiled over into unsavoury scenes after Ross Barkley's 96th-minute equaliser as the enraged Mourinho moved to chase over-exuberant Chelsea technical assistant Marco Ianni down the tunnel before being held back.

"For me, Jose Mourinho's reaction was something I would expect and also something I would expect from the Chelsea bench". Mourinho, who accused Chelsea's fans of disrespecting him, also attempted to draw a line under the matter despite saying that Ianni's actions were down to a "bad education".

Of the incident involving Sarri's assistant, he added: "I'm not annoyed".

"The assistant has already come to me and apologized, I told him to forget it". The ball made its way to Marcus Rashford and he played the ball across to Martial, who took one touch and curled a shot into the bottom corner.

Two goals from Anthony Martial had appeared to have earned Mourinho's Manchester United a comeback win after they went 1-0 down in the first half.

As Mourinho made his way back to the dressing room after the full-time whistle, he responded to the taunts from Chelsea fans by reminding them of the number of Premier League titles he won in his time as Blues boss. "So when he came after the game to make his apologies I accepted his apologies".

"When you are the best team you want to win, you deserve to win".

Now the league's leading scorer with seven goals this term, Hazard has recaptured his best form under Maurizio Sarri, although he told Belgian outlet HLN during the global break that he wishes to work under Mourinho again. But I have that situation immediately [after the match].

"I'll try always to control myself and to respect the stadium and supporters that were my supporters and my stadium for many years".

"Sincerely, I did not see what happened at the end of the match", he told Sky Sports. I think it is finished. I am really disappointed in this type of performance.

The result means Chelsea go top of the table, at least temporarily, but United are still languishing in eighth spot, seven points off the pace. "He was for the first time the best player in the league with me so I think the feelings are good and when the feelings are good you say nice things, when feelings are not good you don't say so much nice things".

"No, I am not happy, honestly", Mourinho said when asked about what he described as the "manhunting" against him in the wake of the Newcastle match.
