Pixel Stand charges your phone and transforms it into a smart speaker

As we've seen many times over the last few weeks, the Google Pixel 3 XL will have a notch, while the smaller Pixel 3 will not.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are set to debut today.

Not only do these phones run the purest Android, devoid of third-party modifications as Google steers both the hardware and software completely, but the design language of the new phone mimics the iPhone X series, with a larger display that wraps around the front-facing camera.

The company has said that the pre-order for the smartphones will begin from October 11th and the sales for the same will start from November 1st, 2018. According to the latest reports, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

At a live event in NY, the technology giant will reportedly also announce a range of other updated devices including a new tablet as well as smart home products, which could include an update to the firm's Google Home smart speaker range. The button on the back is used to turn on the microphones, useful for audio calls, while the presumed lack of a front camera calls into question the possibility of making video calls.

But overshadowing them all is its camera, the lens specs are the same but with a huge software bump, 40% faster HDR processing, improved detail when zooming, improved low-light shots with Night Sight mode and a smart Top Shot mode which takes photos before and after you actually shoot and recommend the best picture to what you actually captured. The Pixel 3 will not sport a notch, unlike its Pixel 3 XL sibling.

The devices are to ship to U.S. consumers on 18 October, with more countries to follow on 1 November. In terms of connectivity, Google Pixel 3 XL comes with USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and Google Cast. The Pixel Slate will also have a detachable keyboard accessory, transforming the tablet into a capable work machine.

In that, it's similar to Microsoft's Surface Pro 6, which launched last week.

In its Hardware event scheduled to happen on October 9, Google is expected to make some very exciting reveals. It will reportedly be called Pixel Slate and can double as a lightweight and easily portable laptop.

The Google Home Hub is the latest smart home product from Google's Home devices.

Google smartphones have some of the best camera technology on the market and it will continue to be a drawcard for the tech giant. We've listed pricing for each storage option below. The Pixel 2 range sold in six countries. On the other hand, the 64GB version of the bigger Pixel 3 XL will retail at Rs 83,000 and Rs 92,000 respectively.
