LG V40 ThinQ Launched, 5 Cameras, Details & Specs

V40 ThinQ got POLED panel with a diagonal of 6.4 inches with a resolution of QHD+ (1440 x 3120 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with an Octa Core CPU. It comes with 6 GB of RAM and only 64 GB of internal storage. It has a slot that supports up to 2TB memory card in case you need more space for your files. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo, which is a disappointment considering previous LG flagships have launched with latest version of Android out-of-the-box.
The camera setup on the LG V40 ThinQ is unique, with three rear cameras and two front cameras. Turn the phone around and you'll find a 5MP wide-angle lens and a 8MP standard lens. For standard photos, is the 12-megapixel module with an aperture of f / 1.5 and a pixel size of 1.4 µm.
LG 5-camera phone is integrated with artificial intelligence tech such as AI Cam that recommends appropriate angles and filters to capture a classic shot, and AI Composition automatically fine-tunes the position of subjects in a scene for generating a perfectly balanced picture. It is the very first smartphone with three cameras on the back just like P20 Pro. The last 16MP snapper has a 107-degree field of view to squeeze more people into a photo. The phone is capable to cover 3x worth of optical zoom.
It can shoot 4K videos at 60 frames per second with HDR support. Also, the camera can record slo-mo 1080p videos at 240 fps. There is also a 3300mAh capacity battery included, which LG says should get you through a full day. Moving to the front, the LG V40 ThinQ comes with a dual camera setup. Those include a 40 percent larger pixel size (1.4um), but also an 18 percent larger image sensor. The cameras offer studio lighting for portraits.

It offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible) connectivity options.
Among the other standout feature of the new V40 ThinQ is its hi-fi Quad DAC feature including the Boombox speaker for a superior listening experience.
The V40 also includes a DTS:X 3D Surround Sound mode in an attempt to deliver a more spacious and immersive sound to the listener. The smartphone comes with MIL-STD 810G military-grade durability and has IP68 rating which makes it dust and water resistant. It is available in four different colours - Aurora Black, Platinum Grey, Carmine Red, and Moroccan Blue.
