Queen Elizabeth and Meghan Markle make first joint trip without Prince Harry

The Duchess of Sussex opted for a "regal" monochrome number as she joined the Queen for their first official joint engagement in Cheshire on Thursday, proving herself an "exemplary royal" according to Lucas Armitage.

She paired the frock with matching clutch, belt and shoes.

Lucas told MailOnline FEMAIL: 'Meghan has opted for a neutral colour once again.

Despite the caption saying Meghan asked 'do it?', we reckon it looks more like she's saying the former.

But it gets bigger than that - Meghan has also been invited for a sleepover on board the Queen's own person train - a feat even Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton have not yet achieved.

Yes, you read that correctly, and while-no surprises here-it is Meghan Markle, she is now a Duchess and did just make royal history.

After a very public wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle managed to pull off one very private honeymoon.

A move to Canada might appeal to Meghan, who lived in Toronto for six years from 2011 while filming her role on TV legal drama Suits.

"The story was that Meghan's mom had come to my house and she left laden with gifts", Winfrey recalled. Jewellery wise, we can see the attractive engagement ring twinkling alongside her wedding band, and she has also accessorised with a diamond bangle and a pair of pearl and diamond earrings. It's similar to the green Parvin look she sported at Meghan and Prince Harry's May 19 nuptials.

Hmm, while Harry isn't a style loser, some would argue that Meghan's fashion hasn't exactly improved since entering this royal life.

Harry was spotted adorably prompting Meghan when to curtsy upon his grandmother's official arrival.

The queen worked one side of the street, greeting well-wishers, while the duchess walked down the other side, chatting with local residents and showing her wedding ring to one small group.
