Paul receiving regular treatment to return for Rockets

Warriors center Kevon Looney was listed as questionable on the injury report for Monday's Game 7 against the Rockets with a sprained toe.

Though his stoic, quietly confident demeanor is his trademark, the fire comes out of Klay occasionally - like it did on Saturday, or last summer in China - and the Warriors know that when it reveals itself, it's a good sign. Afterwards, the Warriors lose the next two games in the series where they could've won as time expired, and then proceed to lose at home despite Houston playing without Chris Paul - marking the first time in the Kerr-era that the Warriors don't reach the NBA Finals.

The 2018 Western Conference Finals are going to a seventh game.

For Thompson, the only thing that matters is those 48 minutes in front of him, and how he plays in them.

"The pace was really fast, and I thought the one positive of Houston getting off to that start that they did was the pace was high". They showed an eagerness to spill their own blood.

They might be able to do it all the way to a fourth consecutive NBA Finals. At this point, there are no more real adjustments - both teams, both coaches know what to expect from the other side. Assuming CP3 plays, I like the Rockets to win this game outright. The Golden State Warriors are allowing 33.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46.4 rebounds per game.

"There's no pressure. It's an opportunity, an opportunity that we all are excited to be a part of", he said. "Game 7 at our house, that's what we've worked the entire regular season for (is) to get home-court advantage". Out for vindication after their stunning loss in the 2016 Finals - the first team ever to go out on three-game losing streak - the Warriors spent eight weeks on the attack.

The Golden State Warriors dominated the rest of the way to stretch the series to the limit. Last year, the Warriors clinched the championship in only five games, not ideal from a network or advertiser point of view, so that kind of one-sided Finals series is always possible.

"We don't want to just be down on it. I'm for sure going to find a Chipotle in Boston, I'll tell you that". But we just stuck with it.

"I think once we settled down defensively and started staying with people and not making mistakes in transition, then we wore them down a little bit", Kerr said. "But at this point, it's all hands on deck, obviously", Kerr said. After Saturday's Game 6, Kerr once again brought up Thompson's personality as an asset in big-game situations. "So we've got to be dialed in".

The team "dialed in" is another way of saying focused and fully engaged.

It might be enough, as the Rockets without Paul definitely are a more fragile group.

There were moments when James Harden could have used another facilitator on the floor.

"It's something we talked about building up all year", Houston's P.J. Tucker said.
