NY man threatens to report Spanish-speaking staff to authorities

He said they should have been speaking English because "This is America".

A NY lawyer who went on a rant targeting Spanish-speaking restaurant workers is reportedly being kicked out of his office space.

In the meantime, eagle-eyed observers have pointed out that this isn't the first time Schlossberg has made his hateful views public. He apparently also speaks four languages including French, Hebrew, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, as written in his LinkedIn profile.

"Your staff is speaking Spanish to customers when they should be speaking English", the man says, his brow furrowing.

After the shocking footage went viral, even New York City's mayor Bill deBlasio weighed in on the racist drivel.

Not surprisingly, his outburst was met with emphatic resistance from both the people he was berating as well as onlookers in the restaurant, which included both throwing expletives at the ranting racist and laughing at him.

As news of his rant spread, Twitter users have been digging up dirt on Schlossberg.

The commission said that it does not ask about immigration status when people call with complaints. Actually, there's a whole part of America that only speaks Spanish, and a lot of those people live in NY now. The lawyer bumped into Morris, called him an "ugly fucking foreigner", and threatened to call the police.

Ranting at the Fresh Kitchen staff he goes on to say he doubts many of them have the correct documentation to be working in the United States and threatens to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In the now-viral video, Aaron screamed at employees at a Fresh Kitchen restaurant in New York City. By Thursday afternoon, The Law Office of Aaron M. Schlossberg had a one-star rating on Yelp, leading the reviews website to issue an "active cleanup alert".

Over the past day, NY has been united in its denunciation of Schlossberg's comments.

"They're yelling, they're claiming things that aren't true", Schlossberg said from the sidewalk.

I will begin sharing them. The Yelp page for his law firm has been bombarded by negative reviews - and a handful of supportive ones - as a result of his inadvertent stardom.

Aaron Schlossberg, 44, had been leasing office space for his private law practice on Madison Avenue. Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-Manhattan) and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. filed complaints with the state court system's disciplinary board about his behavior, the New York Daily News noted. There's video of him screaming "You are not a Jew" at Jewish people supporting Palestine at a demonstration in May 2017, for example.
