Robinho: Real Madrid would be ideal for Neymar

Neymar was named as France's player of the year at an awards ceremony in Paris on Sunday, and later brushed away questions over his future.

Neymar has spoken out after being linked with a summer switch to Manchester United and Real Madrid.

"I have the feeling that Neymar will stay".

"I would like to thank all of my teammates", Neymar, who just completed his first season with the Paris outfit, said on beIN Sports television.

"All transfer windows, we talk about these things", he told L'Equipe.

However, The Red Devils could have another chance to sign the world-class forward if the report from the Mirror is true.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported on Friday that the player's father and agent, Neymar Sr, had told PSG his son wanted to leave immediately.

Whilst many would expect him to be return to the Camp Nou - it has not been Barca who have been linked though; instead, Real Madrid have been the team keen on signing the Brazilian worldwide. Neymar has been here for a year and he was unlucky with his injury.

He started his career at Santos in Brazil before moving to Barca in the summer of 2013 where he spent four seasons. While Los Blancos could still win an incredible third Champions League on the spin, they have failed domestically, now sitting a huge 18 points behind Clasico rivals and runaway leaders Barcelona in the table. Neymar had earlier posted on his twitter the shirt that PSG will use for next season and said he was "Proud to wear the new jersey".

If PSG don't want to sell Neymar they have the financial might to resist any approaches.

Robinho knows all about tough transfer calls, having left Madrid for Manchester City, but claims to be in no position to offer advice regarding what a current Brazil icon should do.

Madrid and United would both be appealing destinations for the player.
