Metro Detroit Forecast: Chilly rain this weekend

Today, Saturday 12th will see a mix of sunny spells and showers. It won't be until the overnight when our winds become calm. But some of the thunderstorms, hit or miss, could contain locally damaging winds and/or hail. North northeast wind around 6 miles per hour. Scattered showers with a storm or two possible Sunday, mainly afternoon. Winds blow from the south at 10 to 15 miles per hour but locally gustier around storms. The chance of rain showers sticks around until Friday.

It put Mt Taranaki under a severe weather watch overnight Friday as up to 30 to 50mm of rain was expected to fall. The window from noon through 5 p.m. will feature the best chance for storms. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88.

WEDNESDAY - Warm with Sun and Clouds and a T-storm.

Showers & thunderstorms will be possible this evening especially north of Denver.

This will create more sunshine than clouds for the first half of the weekend with highs in the lower 90s.

Tuesday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Severe thunderstorms are not looking likely, but a few of the storms could produce some hail around parts of the area. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Saturday Night: Partly cloudy - low around 69 with south wind 6 to 9 miles per hour.
