Paul Bettany has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe from its inception, first providing the voice for Tony Stark's A.I. assistant JARVIS in 2008's "Iron Man", before finally stepping in front of the camera as the android Avenger Vision in 2015's "Age of Ultron".
The interview has Paltrow "reflect on a decade of Pepper Potts" and says nothing specifically about "Avengers 4". Iron Man was last seen on Thanos' planet, Titan, after the Mad Titan snapped his fingers to wipe out half the universe.
Pepper makes one more "appearance" later on, in the form of a phone call when she begs Tony not to board Ebony Maw's ship leaving Earth. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.
The slip-up also seems to confirm a popular fan theory that "Avengers 4" will feature a time-jump, as Tony and Pepper are not yet married in "Infinity War", with Tony telling Wong that he's "invited to the wedding".
'But also it helps Tony go, "Wow, arrogant people are really annoying ..."
In a conference call on Tuesday, Disney's CEO Bob Iger told analysts that the studio had, along with their Marvel counterparts, already "plotted out Marvel movies that will take us well into the next decade".
"I think what was scripted was, 'I don't feel so good, ' and, 'I'm sorry, ' and everything in-between is Tom", said Joe Russo. Though the recent "Avengers: Infinity War" and its untitled sequel "Avengers 4" will end the current arc, Iger said he sees a future for the franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Most interesting, though, is that it does not necessarily mean the end of the Avengers series.
With the follow-up of mega blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War scheduled for a 2019 release, the fans are closely looking out for any hints about the upcoming film. Most importantly, however, Disney just signaled that it's working with Marvel on the next set of superhero movies, and on franchises beyond Avengers. We know Ant-Man and The Wasp will be debuting on July 6th this year. In a collision of The Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, and Black Panther, Thor, Hulk, and Spider Man this movie, since Thursday, April 27th, 2018, has smashed box office records, earning $250 million!
