Android P will stop apps snooping on users

Google has released its new operating system Android P beta on Tuesday, till now this operating system was only available in Google Pixel smartphones.

Apart from the Pixel phones, the new Android P Public Beta will be available to a lot of other flagship phones such as Sony, Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Essential, and even Nokia 7 Plus and the upcoming OnePlus 6. The annual developer conference is taking place at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.

Google has announced it is making major changes to its news platform Google News.

The easiest way to install and stay updated with the latest version of Android P is to enrol in the Android Beta Program.

But not everyone will see the new Android features soon - if at all.

"Android P will come with "Adaptive Brightness" which uses machine learning to study users" pattern and adjust the brightness. Google said it is also planning to include a cartoon fox to show users the way to go. Other normal devices are not compatible to handle the functionality of the new features of the Android P Operating System.

The device doesn't look like much with it's nearly original Chromecast-like exterior, but the latest additions to Android TV should allow even the most low-spec'd devices to enjoy solid playback and quick navigation. Android P will predict actions so that you get to do your tasks faster. For instance, just as the user connects the headphone jack, the phone will perform an action to resume playing the favourite playlist.

Slices on Android P will give users more insight into apps. The new abilities of the Google Assistant will let Assistant make calls on your behalf to book appointments at restaurants, parlours, etc, and all you need to tell him is the date and time range that is convenient for the appointment.

There is also Google Assistant support built into the dongle and it can be used, therefore, to help control a smart home. This will then send the app to the top of the screen and you can choose another app to open in the bottom half. When in an app, a short swipe up (as on the iPhone X), takes you back to the Home screen. Users can use these statistics to set App Timer, which will remind you whenever you are close to your usage limit for that particular app. As for the ringer volume it will have a simple on/off toggle button. The app dashboard provides with a complete picture of how you use your phone.

These are the most fantastic things Google announced during its I/O 2018 keynote, there were many other things which you can check out in the full live stream below.
