Toronto Raptors look to win in Washington and wrap up the Wizards

As a Raptors fan, I remember watching Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals a year ago as the Cleveland Cavaliers made light work of the Raptors 113-87 to progress to the Conference Finals. James continued to play with a large bandage and needed stitches after the game to close the gash. Fans can anticipate the series starting in Toronto on either Tuesday, May 1 or Wednesday, May 2 on TNT.

"Role players play better at home", Wall had said earlier in the series, effectively dismissing the contributions of DeRozan and Lowry's supporting cast after Toronto won all three games at the Air Canada Centre.

Morris who finished Saturday's game with a double-double of 12 points, 15 rebounds expressed his views on the series when asked what the biggest takeaway was.

Myles Turner's 3-pointer with 7:03 left in the third made it a 20-point game and the Pacers closed the quarter on a 10-1 run to extend the lead to 92-67. Wall was on the floor with Gortat, Satoransky, Ty Lawson and Mike Scott.

Raptors Coach Dwane Casey has one of the league's deepest and most dependable benches to turn to, and he was able to use it to his advantage Friday: Kyle Lowry played for just 31:37 and DeMar DeRozan played for 33:27.

Lowry noted in an interview with ESPN the Magazine that the team has their sights set on a championship. "We've been to a second round". Demar played 33. In a playoff game, a closeout game, you would never think your stars could do that. "I just played read and react", Oladipo said. "I just look at it like, 'All right, whatever'".

The Cavaliers tried to mount a comeback, but the Pacers just kept extending the lead thanks to Oladipo's spectacular play.

VanVleet suffered a shoulder injury in the Raptors' regular-season finale in Miami.

Rashad has been covering the National Basketball Association and the Washington Wizards since 2008-his first two years were spent at Hoops Addict before moving to Truth About It. Rashad has appeared on ESPN and college radio, SportsTalk on NewsChannel 8 in Washington D.C., and his articles have appeared on ESPN TrueHoop, USAToday.com, Complex Magazine, and the DCist. Wright was a key man on the night, scoring 11 of his bench-high 18 points in the fourth quarter to help the Raptors take a 3-2 lead in the first-round playoff series. He added seven assists and five rebounds as well.

However, the real test was yet to come and the real question on everyone's lips was still echoing, could the Raptors carry this style of play and success into the postseason? When he threw this one down, the game was pretty much over. But it was their defense in the final quarter that made the difference.

"I know he's banged up". "You gotta go through them dog days sometimes, to be built even stronger". Even if they can't, the signing was a boon for their front office.

"This was probably the most complete game we've played", Lance Stephenson said.
