National Basketball Association playoffs wrap: Spurs, Heat eliminated

You no doubt heard the story by now: How Mill was convicted of charges related to drugs and gun possession in 2008, a charge he has long denied.

But 50 wins? A record-setting, season-ending 16-game win streak? However, until there is postseason glory to speak of, "the process" can't be deemed a success.

"Welcome home Meek Mill", was about all that was heard from the public address announcer as wild cheers drowned out the rest. That effort and a great game from teammate Ben Simmons helped the Sixers escape with a come from behind road victory. Philadelphia took a 23-21 lead after the first quarter.

So much of this entire 2017-2018 season has been about how a relatively young, green 76ers team - one loaded with promising, yet unproven talent - has handled new experiences, managed elevated hype, and, ultimately, found ways to exceed expectations.

J.J. gave the bell back to Brown and told him to ring the bell, since it was his first playoff series win. He rejoined the Heat at the February 8 National Basketball Association trading deadline after spending a season and half away from the franchise of his first 13 seasons, returning following time with the his hometown Chicago Bulls and then alongside LeBron James at the start of this season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Redick followed with his third 3, and Philly was litty again. But entering the fourth, they led by 14 points, 80-66. Even in the Heat's 113-103 Game 2 win at Philadelphia, the 76ers still outscored Miami 28-27 in the fourth quarter. "We have a special team and I feel like now we have a pretty good chance to go forward".

After splitting the first two games in Philly, the Sixers went down to South Beach and took both contests.

"As far as we want". I don't think we need anybody else. "Whether it was getting offensive rebounds, whether it was a miscommunication half-court wise where they were able to get Simmons for the dunk or JJ [Redick] for the shot, we've gotta do a better job, and we didn't".

Smart came off the bench and had nine points, five rebounds, four assists and three blocks in his first game since undergoing right thumb surgery.

After scoring only three points in his first game back, Wade delivered a vintage performance against the Heat's eventual playoff opponent on February 27 scoring 15 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter to secure a one-point victory.

The current series between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks will give us an answer who will join the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round, and Brad Stevens' side is 3-2 up at the moment, but the next tilt will be played in Milwaukee where Giannis Antetokounmpo and co. will do everything in their power to force the game 7. They managed all of two points in Boston, where Maker didn't even get in Game 1.

Celtics 92, Bucks 87: Al Horford has been Boston's quiet leader this postseason, and Marcus Smart might be the kindling that was missing in back-to-back losses in Milwaukee.

With the season over, it might have been a quiet night in the Miami locker room.

His team leads the Eastern Conference series, 3-1, and they could close out the series with a win at home Tuesday night.
