Before Gregg Popovich, Ginobili played in Italy for Messina, and on Sunday he delivered a throwback performance for his old coach to save the Spurs' season. Today's over/under points total is 206.5 points for the complete game.
The San Antonio Spurs entered the AT&T Center in a must-win situation.
Game 4 between the Warriors and Spurs starts at 12:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, San Antonio owns records of 47-38 SU and 41-40-4 ATS. It was a remarkable game for the Spurs, but can they do this, again, at Golden State's place?
On the road, Golden State is 19-22-1 ATS with 22 overs and 20 unders. San Antonio made 15 of 28 3-point attempts.
Early projections by our models for Durant in Game 4 have him scoring 26.5 points with 7.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists for 46.4 FanDuel points. The Warriors didn't match the Spurs' intensity in the first half and it cost them the game so I'm expecting them to bounce back, especially Thompson who shot just four of 16 from the field.
Tony Parker added 16 points off the bench for San Antonio in Game 3, bit most of those points came in garbage time, when things were already out of hand.
San Antonio ranks ninth in second chance points per game (13.1) while Golden State ranks last (10.3). They never did. Though the Warriors had only had six turnovers for the rest of the game, the damage had been done in the first half, and the half-baked Warriors played catch-up the entire game. But Golden State outscored the Silver and Black 29-21 in the third period, cutting the deficit to 77-71 going into the final quarter.
The Spurs, who led by as many as 17 points in the first half, were up 56-42 at the break.
Both of these teams are great at blocking the ball.
The fact that the Spurs delivered their best defensive effort of the series on their home floor and still lost by 13 points is definitely a troubling sign. The over is 4-0-1 in the last five Spurs games following a straight up loss.
Sunday night's game between the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers was raucous. Aidridge is averaging 22 points and eight boards in three playoff games this season, not far off his regular season averages of 23.1 and 8.5.
