ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 launched, Price in India, specifications, offers

The smartphone is part of Asus' new Zenfone Max range.

That's not all, as the Max Pro will also have powerful speakers and run on pure Android 8.1, with none of that custom Asus skin overlaid. Zenfone Max Pro has 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 4GB RAM/64GB storage, 6GB RAM/64GB storage (launching soon) options, while the Redmi Note 5 Pro is available in 4GB RAM/32GB storage and 6GB RAM/64GB storage versions. The company has been working with Qualcomm to deliver "the most powerful yet battery-efficient smartphones for all Indian consumers to enjoy"-this new ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is included".

Asus had already revealed that the phone will be powered by an octa-core processor and the other key specs of the phone are 18:9 FHD+ display, stock Android Oreo, dual rear cameras and a 5,000mAh battery.

At the heart of ZenFone Max Pro is an advanced Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform which combines smooth, responsive performance with superb battery life, and a powerful Adreno 509 GPU that is created to support enhanced mobile gaming and browsing performance. The graphics are taken care of by the Adreno 509 GPU.

The latest such device is called ZenFone Max Pro M1, and it shouldn't be confused with either the ZenFone Max Plus M1 or ZenFone 4 Max Pro. ZenFone Max Pro (M1) can shoot video at up to 4K UHD resolution and comes with two SIM slots supporting 4G LTE, and an additional microSD slot to expand storage by up to 2TB. This phone will be competing with Redmi Note 5 and will surely give it a tough competition. The aluminium unibody design is prevalent across the budget category of smartphones and the Zenfone Max Pro is no different. As mentioned earlier, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is offered in two capacity and RAM versions - a base 3GB RAM + 32GB version and a premium 4GB RAM + 64GB version. While reviewing the unit, we had to charge the phone only twice, when used it for four days. The phone feels a lot like you're holding a Redmi Note 5 Pro, all the way from the taller form factor to the fingerprint scanner that's placed exactly at the same place at the back. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with 85.5-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture and softlight LED flash. Both variants will come with a triple slot SIM tray, allowing for memory expansion without compromising on your second SIM. The Zenfone Max Pro will go on sale in India via Flipkart.

At the back, it sports a pair of 13-megapixel primary sensor and 5-megapixel depth sensor which supports portrait Mode, PDAF, and auto-focus.

Flipkart is also offering a killer deal, where subscribing users will get complete damage and theft protection.

The Zenfone Max Pro M1 boasts camera as one of its highlights. Prepaid users get free 10GB of data per month for one year if they are on Rs.199 plan and above. In addition to this, if you exchange an eligible device, you will be able to avail Rs 1,000 extra off over regular exchange value on select models. Share us your views by adding your comments below.
