A base 2018 Focus in the USA starts at about $18,000, plus delivery.
Here we round up all you need to know about the new Focus.
The 2019 Focus is a little like the TARDIS: it's bigger on the inside, but not the outside.
The all-new Active body style rides 30mm higher than regular Focus variants, and offers a more rugged SUV-esque look with a bespoke front-end design, protective black wheelarch and rocker claddings, silver front and rear skid plates and textured interior materials.
Under the auto works an independent front and rear suspension setup fitted with continuously controlled damping technology, a setup that monitors suspension, body movement as well as steering and braking inputs every 2 milliseconds.
The new Focus will be available as a hatchback or estate. The company has set itself what, on the face of it, is a hard challenge.
"Crucially too we have listened seriously to the comments of many current Focus owners and taken their input on board - and no we have not payed lip service as some rivals do because we have taken all their comments seriously and used some points to incorporate in this latest Focus", he added. Ford plans to trim that by as much as 92-percent, however, bringing the number down - market depending - to as few as 26 configurations. The vehicles on sale here will actually be built in China, to help Ford lower production costs.
Company makes big product push in world's largest market. Now, they're available on mass market models. The Ford Focus is made in China by the Changan-Ford joint venture.
The estate boot space has been created to comfortable fit a dog crate, so Fido should be happy about the new Focus. The sportier ST-Line model starts at £21,570 and includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a body kit and sports-tuned suspension. Speed Sign Recognition will spot the now posted limit.
Ford is also introducing an eight-speed automatic for the top-end 118bhp EcoBlue diesel, which comes with rotary gear shift dial set on the central console.
Even the lights are getting an upgrade.
The Focus retains it's legacy of driving dynamics, further enhanced with the first Focus-application of continuously controlled damping (CCD) technology for the independent front and rear suspension systems; new drive modes; an isolated rear subframe for greater refinement; and Ford-patented spring technology. Is it enough to make it more popular with Britain's vehicle buyers? A supporting Park-Out Assist is also able to drive the Focus out of a parallel spot on its own.
It means the navigation includes Live Traffic updates and allows passengers to surf the web on the move. Instead, the Sync 3 infotainment system has a more current free-standing 8-inch full colour touch screen that you can pinch and swipe just like you would with a smartphone.
