We need to create our own history, says Liverpool's Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and left back Andy Robertson both met the media today to preview tomorrow night's massive UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash at home against Manchester City.

Per the report, Aguero has been sidelined for the past five matches with the knee injury, including the worldwide break at the end of last month.

The current EPL leaders were hoping Aguero would be back before this game, but Pep Guardiola, during their pre match conference confirmed the 29-year-old will not play any part of the game.

But he wasn't involved in training with the rest of his team-mates on Tuesday as Guardiola revealed the Liverpool tie has come too soon. We are in a good moment.

Liverpool's team spirit seems to be working wonders for them this season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to keep his place despite recent struggles against Man United and Crystal Palace, as Nathaniel Clyne is yet to play a single minute for the first team this term.

Manchester City have lost only one game at the league this season, where Liverpool won the match with a score of 4-3.

"They are quite a special team and they will be absolutely deserved champions of the Premier League".

The club are five-time winners of the European Cup, but Klopp wants his side to embrace the past and use it to propel success in the immediate future.

City, who are three points away from being crowned domestic champions, are chasing a treble but Liverpool have been without silverware since 2012 and Klopp recognises that the time has come to stop harking back to past triumphs.

"I played at the weekend like a defensive midfielder, so how you can compare me to an inside forward?" The Reds are one of less than a handful of teams to beat them this season and the only side from the Premier League to do so.

If their Premier League meetings this season is anything to go by then this should be a cracker at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

"It's really hard, but I think we can beat the best". We have taken additional steps to make sure the area is as safe and secure as possible, whilst working with local residents to ensure that they remain unaffected by any potential fan activity.

"They've got a lot more ball possession than I ever had in my coaching career".
