Toys R Us liquidation sales start after a brief delay

Quebec-based manufacturer Dorel Industries Inc. reported Thursday it has incurred a $4.9-million (Cdn.) bad debt expense due to Toys "R" Us winding down its USA business and liquidating its inventory. On March 14, Toys "R" Us announced the would be closing all of their almost 800 USA stores and leaving around 33,000 people without jobs.
Granted, the scene doesn't actually spell out that Toys "R" Us would close hundreds of stores in the year 2018.
And then in January, the company announced plans to close 182 stores, according to the Associated Press.
Stores will honor the cards until April 21.
