Fortnite mobile hits iOS: How to get beta codes

If you don't receive an invite right away, don't worry.

Since yesterday's Fortnite update, players have been reporting an increase in texture pop-in.

Parker praised the game's console-quality graphics, stating "the first thing I noticed was that the map looked pretty fantastic from up high - there was plenty of detail, even if it was on a much smaller screen". While the app is live in the App Store, you'll need an invite from a friend or Epic Games to gain access...

Epic Games has started sending out invitations for the Fortnite iOS closed beta testing.

Dozens of other "Fortnite" players have come forward with similar stories - some of them over at the "Fortnite" community in Reddit, others vented at the official Epic Games forums. It is unclear as to how long it will take for invites to fully reach all gamers, but presumably Epic is allowing batches in to prevent the servers from overloading. In an exchange with David Thier of Forbes, Nick Chester, Epic Games PR manager, revealed the criteria for selecting the people who will receive the invites. Epic also notes that the game is still in an early state, so don't be surprised if you run into bugs and issues while playing.

One of the biggest draws to the rapidly expanding Fortnite empire is the fact that the game is so intrinsically fun without the tactical grit and cynicism ingrained into the PUBG experience.

Check your inboxes: the first wave of invites for Fortnite [] on iOS are now going out. Once you're done, all you have to do is wait for the invite to arrive.

If I play Fortnite Battle Royale on Xbox One, can I squad up with friends on PC, Mac, and Mobile?

Good luck and see you on the Battle Bus.

Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to mobile devices!

Now, Fortnite on the App Store is marked as an "Invite Event" but is downloadable, and the game client has a hefty size of 2GB. An Android version is planned to release later this year, with no specific date set at this time. You will then have to activate your account and log in to the game on the app.

Moving on to the Android devices, we have also prepared a list of Android devices which would support this game in future.
