After surviving Bangladesh's review of a not out lbw call from the umpire, Dhawan fired a pull over midwicket for his second maximum of the match, before a four in the next over brought up his half-century off 35 balls.
Put in to bat, Bangladesh failed to get much momentum in their innings due to the loss of wickets at regular intervals and only posted a modest eight for 139 in their 20 overs.
India vs Bangladesh Live Cricket streaming will be telecasted on DSport channel in India as they have official telecast rights to this Tri-Series.
It is also a must-win game for Bangladesh as another loss will make it very hard for them to make the final on March 18. They just finished their South Africa tour where they won ODI and T20I series against the home team Proteas but though they lost Test series earlier.
The fact that the Bangladeshis played 57 dot balls went a long way towards tilting the match in India's favour. The match took place in 8th March, 2018 and Premadasa Stadium was the host venue which is located at Colombo. The Rohit Sharma-led side chose to field first, and once the bowlers had done their bit in keep Bangladesh in check, the batsmen swung into action to put the seal on what was eventually a comfortable win.
Meanwhile, India again banked on their opener Shikhar Dhawan to give a good start and fluster the opposition bowling line up. Liton Das was the highest run-getter for Bangladesh with his 34-run knock while Jaydev Unadkat (3/38) and Vijay Shankar (2/32) shared five wickets between them for India.
Later team India came to chase the score.
The Indian bowlers, however, quickly moved on from that thrashing and on Thursday restricted the Tigers to a mediocre total on what appeared a batting friendly wicket. Mahmudullah Riyad will take the charge of the team in his absence. In 18.4 overs India reached the destination. Shikhar Dhawan (55) continued his red-hot form in T20Is to record his second successive fifty, while Manish Pandey finished off the innings with an unbeaten 27.
Rohit Sharma has been a topic of discussion on social media ever since he started playing global cricket.
But Dhawan and Raina didn't look to be under pressure and scored runs at ease by minimising the risk.
