New York Jets: Three things to watch during today's NFL Combine workouts

NFL Network analyst Maurice Jones-Drew offered his take on who popped and who flopped over the combine and ranked his top five quarterbacks based strictly on the combine drills and not based on the film or interviews. And they said so with conviction.

Most would highly assume that if the Buffalo Bills do indeed trade up in the draft, it's to go after their potential franchise quarterback. They're close. They're very close. "I jumped on it right away, you know".

And he can be a hard act to follow.

Yet when he met with the media Friday, Allen was placed at the first podium - typically reserved for the top prospects - while Jackson, the 2016 Heisman Trophy victor, was a couple podiums over.

Those traits were on display at this weekend's Combine, the landing ground for elite draft hopefuls attempting to further improve their standing. I mean, I love football with all of my heart and soul. "Not the same as college".

"With Rosen, the Bills can get a guy who stands at 6'4", who is not afraid to face any type of pressure that comes his way and figures out ways to work with his receivers to make plays down the field. I have a lot of learning to do.

Josh Rosen has faced questions about his character leading up to the draft, and he apparently did little to answer them in at least one of his interviews with an National Football League team at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

While Mayfield's passion for the game is never questioned, the situation is much different for UCLA quarterback prospect Josh Rosen. "I think it's cool being able to grow up in a town that's pretty blue collar, that's San Clemente, then going to L.A. In New York I think I would continue to be myself, it's just the environment around me that would change, that's all". I think I make good decisions. I think the record's 66 or something.

As with his time at Wyoming, Allen's inaccuracies tended to come in the form of overthrows, including one significant airmail on a slant route.

Allen, who chose to forgo his final season at Wyoming for the NFL Draft, is expected by many to be selected higher than any Wyoming player has ever been drafted. He threw for 1,812 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions in the 11 games he played last season.

The thinking has less to do with Jackson being better as a receiver because he's fast and athletic, and more to do with him being an underwhelming quarterback prospect because of his lack of accuracy.

Depends on who you ask. Penn State running back Saquon Barkley has also made it clear that he'd love to play in the same Giants offense with Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. He addressed questions about his mobility and athleticism by finishing first in the broad jump (10 feet, 1 inch), third in the three-cone drill (7.34 seconds), third in the 40-yard dash (4.95) and tied for fourth in the vertical jump (31.5 inches).

South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert met with the Patriots at the Senior Bowl in January, but there was no follow-up visit this week. That's exactly why he should have been confident enough to back it up on the same field as Rosen and Mayfield - before they took it later on Saturday afternoon.
