Light Snow and Rain Tuesday

Heavy fog (in spots) is now developing to begin our Tuesday morning-especially in the western half of the state.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Wednesday and Thursday there are chances for scattered light snow showers with some lake effect possible. With this first system, northwest Montana will have the best chance of seeing rain and snow showers.

Snow showers will be likely Friday night through Saturday morning.

A similar system moves through early Wednesday with additional chances for light mix and snow along the VA/WV border. It's worth highly emphasizing that these higher amounts might miss us entirely, with only a slushy coating to an inch for most possible! We're continuing to monitor strong wind potential as we could see gusts up to 40 miles per hour at times throughout the day. After that cooler and drier weather moves in and will stick around into Friday. Highs this afternoon will hit the low to upper 60s. The skies will start to clear late in the day giving way to a cold night with lows in the low to mid-20s.

The weekend looks good starting out. Highs will top out in the upper 30s. Lows in the low 40s.

Current forecasts are expecting morning snow showers to change into rain showers on Sunday by late day.

Have a great Monday!
