Rockets players enter Clippers' locker room through back entrance

The NBA will investigate the matter and start gathering information on Tuesday, league sources said. Suspensions and/or fines are possible.

However, given the growing tension between the two teams, it's hard to imagine the Clippers would trade a player of Jordan's caliber to a fierce rival. The Clippers next play Wednesday against Denver, and Houston is off until it plays host to Minnesota on Thursday.

"You mean after he hit me?"

Asked about it, Clippers coach Doc Rivers would only say his team was in its own locker room. If that wasn't enough, with just 9 seconds left in the game, Griffin and Ariza received double technicals after exchanging words and both were ejected.

Security intervened and prevented any of the players from entering, but the Rockets players were swearing at the Clippers and were "close to getting in when they were stopped". There were reports that officers from the Los Angeles Police Department also were summoned to quell the disturbance.

It was not the first postgame confrontation in the same corridor at Staples Center.

Tempers flared several times during the game, with Blake and Griffin exchanging harsh words at one point. Security was summoned and no punches were thrown...

Last night's game was Chris Paul's first game back in the Staples Center facing the Clippers, who had played with for six seasons before joining the Rockets this past off-season.

However, Rockets guard Eric Gordon told TMZ after the game that the fights were "no biggie" and that he didn't expect anyone to get suspended. Nor was it for former Rockets players Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams, plus injured guard Patrick Beverley.

On his way off the court and toward the tunnel that leads into the locker room, Griffin high-fived his Clippers teammates, ripped off his No. 32 jersey and tossed it into the stands.

D'Antoni argued with an official about a missed goaltending call on the prior possession when Griffin made contact with him. "I didn't appreciate it". D'Antoni complains about it immediately. Chris Paul is trying to beat me up. And former co-star Blake Griffin was a major catalyst.

According to a Rockets source, Ariza was waiting on Griffin, and when the game ended he charged from the hallway into the Clips locker room. Rivers was cheering loudly from the bench after Griffin got into it with several Rockets players.
