UK Police Say Death of Dolores O'Riordan Not Suspicious

Limerick poet Barney Sheehan signing the book of condolence at Merchants Quay, Limerick.

But there was more heartbreak ahead, with the singer losing her beloved father in 2011 and her marriage coming to an end in 2014. I know she was recording in London recently.

What I will never forget however, is Dolores and Don emerging from the Abbey to hop on board a majestic horse and cart, Don taking the reins in his hands and giving them a whoosh, prompting the horses on their journey out the main gates and out onto the road. "My heart goes out to her children".

A spokeswoman for the London Hilton added: "It is with deep regret that we can confirm a guest sadly passed away at the hotel on Monday 15th January". Her death is now being turned over to the coroner so the cause can be resolved.

Polish couple Sebastian and Michalina Buczkowski came to pay tribute to the star by signing their names.

President Michael D Higgins led the tributes to the Dreams singer yesterday and described the impact the Limerick woman had on the music industry across the world. The_Cranberries gave us our first big support when we toured with them around France years ago!

Ms Buczkowski said: "We grew up listening to the band so very sad".

The Cranberries singer was loved and respected throughout the industry.

Catherine Sexton described O'Riordan as "a real limerick lady, a true Limerick lady, and a handsome soul". And she wished all the Cranberries fans a happy new year.

"Both Colin and I send all our thoughts to her family at this hard time". "Where are my clothes?' On tour it's, like: "'room-service", she said of the comeback.

Dan Waite of music label Eleven Seven said O'Riordan left him a voice message early Monday saying she was looking forward to the recording.

"Dolores O'Riordan and The Cranberries had an vast influence on rock and pop music in Ireland and internationally", he said in a statement.

"I've also had a lot of joy in my life, especially with my children", she said.

Talking candidly about the suicide attempt, she added: "I tried to overdose previous year... She didn't think like that at all".

Mr Parry continued: "The words are majestic and very real". And when I asked her about that she was very amusing. "I remember being on tour and being in the United Kingdom at the time when the child died, and just being really sad about it all". It was a primal shriek that unnerved you on the fiery judder of 'Zombie' - a song that spawned a generation of inferior karaoke covers - yet was also capability of lulling you into a reverie on the likes of 'Ode to My Family' or 'When You're Gone'. "A unique artist, singer songwriter, musician and performer..."
