Finch, who hit 10 fours and three sixes in his 107, and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh then gave Australia a platform to build on with a stand of 118.

But the Steve Smith-led side slumped to a shocking five-wicket defeat against England despite the home side compiling up a competitive total of 304-8 in the first ODI at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
"That works for them and that's something that we might have to think about as well, having guys that are going really hard and having someone - it might be me - that just bats normally". England had 60 runs in six overs.

Speaking about his innings, Roy said, "It was an absolute honour to be out there on the MCG and to get a score like that, to win our first game of the series is incredibly special".
In the 42nd over, Roy was dismissed by Starc.
