Arsene Wenger has insisted he will not leave Arsenal this summer, as his optimism grows over keeping Mesut Ozil.
However, Sanchez has created more chances than the City youngster this season with 2.99, only being let down by his teammates inability to score goals, while Sane has the privilege of playing with Aguero and Jesus. The Gunners boss would not say if Manchester United, specifically, was interested in signing the forward.
City were in pole position to sign the 29-year-old when United chose to step in and make things complicated.
"In relation to Sanchez all I can say, which everyone else says, is that he is a phenomenal player".
"We all know what he did at Arsenal, Barcelona and before that Udinese".
City understand Sanchez is keen to leave the Emirates Stadium in the current transfer window but they will not be pressured into overpaying by the player's representatives, Arsenal or by the interest of any other club.
"A bidding war is always beneficial to the club that can take advantage of it, but we're not in that..."
Manchester United are firmly in the running to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, with Jose Mourinho believing the club can not afford to miss out on "phenomenal" players like the Chile global.
Manchester City, on the other hand, are not willing to offer beyond £20 million as they feel that it would be too much for a player who is going to be a free agent in the summer.
Speaking of Sanchez ahead of Monday's Premier League match against Stoke City, Mourinho said: 'I don't know if ethical or correct.
When asked at a press conference if United were interested in signing the 29-year-old Chilean worldwide, Wenger said "nothing is really concrete at the moment".
All the latest Premier League transfer news and odds, including Alexis Sanchez, Javier Hernandez and Jonny Evans.
"I don't question his passion when he's on the pitch, he wants to win, ' Wenger further added". I am focused on Liverpool.
But one of Neville's ex-teammates believes Sanchez would be smart to pick City over Jose Mourinho's side.
"We had very good news yesterday morning".
