Deuce: Saints can advance to their 3rd NFC title game

The Saints had won the last three meetings, including the last one in Minneapolis (42-20 in 2011). However, for the Vikes to win in the playoffs, it will take a complete game from all three phases. Each of the previous playoff games against the Vikings was historic.

Peat has spent time at left guard and left tackle this season, making an appearance in 15 games for the Saints. "Obviously this is a very exciting season for the Vikings, and I was just thinking, "Should I be watching the game on the field, or should I be watching my grandma's reaction to that game?'" But Keenum has made a career of disproving the doubters about his ability. The Vikings have a ton of talent in their back-four. Regardless, he didn't miss this opportunity.

There's growing belief that if Shurmur does ultimately become the Cards' new head coach, Keenum would come with him in a package deal.

"I'm feeling great", Bridgewater said of his knee. Knowing that we can flip the field on the punt team and help the defense out any way we can, that's what we try to do.

The Vikings have a lot of keys guys with dings, but all should suit up and play.

"I'm looking forward to it being a battle".

The Vikings defense can make things much easier on Case Keenum and company.

Where the Saints have an edge is on third-and-long.

Tennessee improbably came back against the Chiefs last week, earning a date against the defending Super Bowl champs. Not many offensive coordinators would be able to lose two quarterbacks and still be successful.

New Orleans finished tied for seventh in the National Football League with 42 total sacks. Drew Brees loves playing in domes. Since 1999, only one other tight end has more than four in the postseason (Vernon Davis, seven). He's seen it all and isn't likely to be confused by Smith's antics. Hill is a bigger, long-armed body with good balance. In 2012, Keenum was part of the Texans playoff team as a member of the practice squad. He had a career-high 13 sacks this year. Minnesota also does not have the same starting offensive line as it did Week 1, as fractured his ankle in Green Bay in Week 16. The team with the elite defense tends to hold the edge in these offense vs. defense showdowns, but five points may be a hard spread to cover against a Saints offense led by one of the game's all-time great quarterbacks.

Despite having the NFL's second-ranked offense, the Saints were surprisingly pedestrian on third down - converting just 38 per cent of the time to sit 19th in the league. Kamara gained a total of 33 yards on 11 touches.
