OnePlus also made sure that all of the OnePlus 5's display options returned in the 5T, like Night Mode and - my personal favorite - the Reading Mode, which attempts to replicate the black and white look of an e-paper device. The 5T also comes with face unlocking feature and support for Dual Apps for personal and professional use. The screen has a 2160x1080 resolution, which leaves it with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 401ppi of pixel density. For the 5T's build, the company brings back ergonomics in the mix, as the smartphone features a slight curve for easy holding.
The OnePlus 5T's fingerprint sensor resides on the back of the device. It won't feel the same as the 5T's Snapdragon 835.
Given the similarities in the hardware and software, the performance of the OnePlus 5T is similar to that of the OnePlus 5. The phone still has a headphone jack and runs on the latest OxygenOS based on Android Nougat.
My impression of the camera so far has been that it seems fairly nice but similar to the OnePlus 5 camera. OnePlus has increased the capacity of the battery to 3,300 mAh to ensure that battery life does not take a hit as the screen size increases. Smart Text Selection has also received some improvements alongside Bluetooth performance as well as an update for the Gallery app. OnePlus has also thrown some improvements to the standby battery usage and fixed bugs that were affecting the smooth performance of the File Manager, Recorder and Weather apps. Since it's only gathering data from the front camera without any additional sensors, it's not as powerful as Apple's Face ID.
D-Day has arrived for OnePlus 5T. We will have to test as to how the secondary lens works under low-light conditions but until yet there is a noticeable difference but nothing major.
However, enrolling my mug to begin with was at times frustrating. But that's the price one has to pay for an immersive display experience, at least until the concept of under-display fingerprint scanner is commercialized. Repeatedly, our 5T got about 80 percent through the process and failed. OnePlus has not changed the price of the OnePlus 5T and priced it at Rs 32,999 for the 64 GB storage variant while the 128 GB variant is priced at Rs 37,999. The back of the phone now has a 16-megapixel general-purpose shooter and a 20-MP unit that seems to use a form of pixel binning for improved low-light operation.

The dual camera is designed for clearer portraits and low-light shots. Plenty of carriers will also get the phone soon, with O2 in the UK, Three in Denmark, and Elisa in Finland.
The navigation bar on the OnePlus 5T has been slightly tweaked, as well. It sort of works, but the resulting images are still noisy, and it's no replacement for the real thing. OnePlus says it has, through software, updated the Portrait Mode too for reducing noise. You still won't find optical image stabilization, for example. It is also not advertised as water or dust resistant.
All in all, this is pretty good news for OnePlus owners, as they will be able to use Android 8.0 on their handsets prior to the end of the year.
While the change is certainly effective, the 5T is essentially the same phone on the surface as the OnePlus 5, only with its physical button snipped off. However, it can not be used for authenticating purchases as it is not secure enough. As OnePlus suggested onstage today, the letter "T" is in place because Apple uses an "S" for their half-step phones every other year.
With the addition of an 18:9 display, Android's budget darling has a golden opportunity to truly join the ranks of 2017's premier handsets. Those are all areas of concern that OnePlus has yet to address even as we're entering this 7th phone.
