Jennifer Lopez gives $1 million to hurricane relief efforts

Lopez shared that together with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, they were working to spearhead "additional relief efforts" to "rush the relief that our brothers and sisters in Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean desperately need". She said and others in the NY delegation will be advocating for federal funding to swiftly fix and rebuild Puerto Rico's electrical grid, help small businesses recover and address other problems.

Cuomo's office says Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello asked his NY counterpart for emergency goods and services to help the recovery. Proceeds will go to United for Puerto Rico, the first lady Rosselló's initiative.
