Smriti Irani demands speedy probe into journalist Gauri Lankesh's killing

Here is sad news for all the Kannadians.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar told media that Lankesh has three bullets wounds, two in chest and one in the forehead. She faced a lot of threats. Hundreds queued up at the cemetery to pay their tribute to Lankesh, known for her secular activism and anti-establishment journalism. She had faced opposition and criticism for her alleged Leftist and anti-Hindutva views. "The gruesome killing of a free thinker is not a good sign for a healthy democracy". An official with the Information and Broadcasting Ministry said he condemned all acts of violence against journalists. Gauri was tailed last week but did not seek security. On bail, she released with a charge of a personal bond of Rs. 25,000.
Meanwhile, the State government has formed three teams comprising of senior police officers to investigate the crime. The BJP government has to take severe action on the culprits that we led to the Murder. "Don't forget that Gauri Lankesh was a journalist".
An Indian journalist was fatally shot Tuesday by unidentified attackers in the southern Indian city of Bangalore, police said. "Which is a shame for the society". "If the family is insistent, then I am OK with a CBI investigation too", he said.
Farhan Akhtar is shocked that Gauri Lankesh's death.
Gauri, in her 50s, had ample faith in secularism and was a fearless mediaperson, the CM said, adding that she was killed in a manner similar to that of MM Kalburgi.
