Manny Pacquiao: Conor McGregor must "rumble" Floyd Mayweather

IN a rule that was implemented last 2006, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has mandated the use of 10-ounce gloves for fights above 154 pounds.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission on Wednesday agreed to allow the fighters to use 8-ounce gloves.

Mayweather said: "He was complaining about the gloves, so I said, "Listen, let's do eight ounces. I am ready to destroy in the first 10 seconds".

All this played into the narrative that McGregor would crush Mayweather in a MMA fight, which of course, would involve 4-ounce gloves (and a myriad of fighting techniques...). "Don't believe what you hear in the media".

Floyd posted a relatively recent request on Instagram for the 8 oz gloves and McGregor quickly accepted.

The hilarity will finally reach its conclusion on Saturday, August 26th when Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fight in Las Vegas. I'll be wearing 8 oz Grant gloves.

A number of key regulatory decisions were made today ahead of next week's anticipated Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing match.

At the end of the interview, Conan gifted McGregor a good luck charm by presenting him with a pair of boxing trunks with the red-haired host's face emblazoned on them, much to the Irishman's amusement.

The comments came during a recent media interview where Corbin was asked about the idea of one of the participants in the upcoming August 26, 2017 super-fight coming to WWE. The bout contracts mandate foam gloves be used, and not Mexican horsehair gloves, which are known more as "puncher's gloves". "The only difference is that I have a son now", said McGregor explaining the joke that he could change the diaper of her child without anyone noticing so it was quick.

NSAC will be employing what they describe as a "one-fight exception" for next weekend's bout between combat sport's two money men.

In addition to regular inspections, Marnell, as well as other commission members, will inspect each fighter's gloves prior to the fight.

"I stopped doubting Conor McGregor a long time ago", he added.
