What's more American than watching baseball, America's pastime, on the Fourth of July?

Athens Fire and Rescue and Athens Police Department remind the public that firework use inside the city limits is prohibited except for permitted shows, such as the annual fireworks show.

Fireworks will illuminate the skies above the Delaware Bay.

INDEPENDENCE DAY FIREWORKS, dusk July 2, Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Drive, Crystal Lake.

Morning activities include a flea market at 9 a.m. and a auto show at 10 a.m.

The parade line-up begins at 8:30 Spring Hill Post Office, 223 Town Center Parkway, and the parade begins at 9 a.m. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters and wagons in patriotic colors, or simply walk or ride in the parade, to celebrate Independence Day in a fun way, city officials said. Fairgrounds Park, Filbert & Dover Avenues. "The annual Fireworks Show and Concert here in lovely Eisenhower Park is a great opportunity for our residents to come out and enjoy this "World Class" fireworks show and performances by The Steam Punk Pirates and Killer Joe and the Lido Soul Revue". Chicken, soda and beer, will be from 11 a.m., until it is sold out, and activities for children will be from 11 1 p.m. Fireworks will be at dusk.

10-4 p.m. - Festivities in the park include things to buy, eat and talk about, music, entertainment, arts and crafts and games.

Seaside events begin at 11 am with the annual Seaside Museum Old Fashioned Social and the July 4th Parade starts at the Museum.

Monte Rio Celebration: Big Rocky Games at noon, Boat Parade and Water Curtain at dusk, fireworks follow, Sunday, Monte Rio Beach.

Meridian Township is going all out for the country's 175 Anniversary, with events and activities going on all day and ending with an evening of fireworks.

The Kingsburg celebration is sponsored by the Kingsburg Chamber of Commerce.

With one of longest parades in the state of New Hampshire, Wolfeboro's parade starts at 10 am on North Main Street.

The City of Thomasville invites the community to the annual CNS Independence Day Fireworks and Festivities celebration.
