Man Utd target Donnarumma to discuss new AC Milan deal

The FC panel answer your tweets on Dani Alves and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's futures and the Gianluigi Donnarumma fallout.

Having indicated that he will not sign a renewal with a year remaining on his current deal, star goalkeeper Donnarumma suggested he would give contract negotiations another chance in an Instagram post on Sunday.

However, the 18-year-old, now on global duty with the Italian U21s at the European Championships, has today broken his silence regarding the saga surrounding his name. A few weeks ago, Mino Raiola announced that his client would not be renewing his deal with Milan.

The club's efforts now look to have paid off with Donnarumma posting on Instagram: "Today with my tweet I triggered a real ruckus which I didn't want to generate, and I apologise for that".

Since that tweet, Donnarumma has now confirmed his intention to re-negotiate with Milan through a post on his Instagram.

"I want to reiterate my absolute love for Milan and the fans".

"My promise is that as soon as the [Euros] is over, I will meet the [Milan hierarchy] with my family and my agent to discuss my [contract] renewal".

"Raiola, yesterday, today and tomorrow!" he wrote on Twitter. "Now Nazionale is important".

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Real Madrid are among the clubs to have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old.

"We parents are not influencing Gigio's decision in the slightest - we just hope he gets what is best for him and what makes him happy".
