Yesterday, we were talking about the CBFC demanding that the word "intercourse" be deleted from the mini-trailer of Imtiaz Ali's new film, Jab Harry Met Sejal. "I think you should take the voting from the public and get one lakh votes then I will definitely see (understand) that the world has completely changed and India is going to be changed as family thinks their twelve year old children can understand the meaning of this word". It marks Anushka Sharma's third collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It is not about the movie, the issue is just about the trailer.
The mini trails of "Jab Harry Met Sejal" are already a hit, and people loved the concept totally. The chief of the board asked the makers of the movie to censor the word "intercourse" in the movie. "So, if television knows this, how come they are showing material without certification and permission?" OIn Friday, in an interview fiven to a TV channel, he said, "You take voting from the public and I will clear the word (intercourse) on the promo and the film also".
"We (CBFC) can not stop content on the internet".
Nihlani, often criticised for censoring the content of the films, said his objection this time is only for the TV telecast of the trailer. While on one hand, there have been mini teasers of the film which are being aired; on the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan himself is not leaving any stone unturned for the same.
Nihalani had objected to the uncensored trailer being broadcast on television channels, facing a lot of flak in the process.
Jab Harry Met Sejal also stars Sayani Gupta and Evelyn Sharma. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film is all set to release on August 4 this year.
