Beyonce's twins are reportedly still in hospital

Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly welcomed their bundles of joy earlier this week, according to a new United States media report.

But the 65-year old businessman got himself into trouble with his daughter's hardcore fans who thought the "Lemonade" singer should have been the one to share the news herself.

On Sunday US media began reporting that the Drunk In Love singer had given birth, and speculated that the kids are a boy and a girl. According to Inquistr, it can be recalled that the couple waited nearly a month before sharing the photo of their first child with the world.

Beyonce, 35, publicly announced her pregnancy with an Internet-breaking Instagram post that spawned a million parodies last February. According to TMZ, one of the reasons for this silence is that the twins would suffer from " minor health problems", forcing the small family to remain in observation in the hospital a little longer than expected.

And while they're still in UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles, fans are going more than a little insane while trying to determine the gender of the new-born twins.

The fans, or Beyhive as they are called, are upset that Mathew Knowles robbed Beyonce of another flamboyant announcement by jumping the gun and sending out a simple tweet on his own.

It read: "We have been blessed two times over".

USA magazine People said: "Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends".

The gender of the twins is unknown and no further details have been revealed, and Beyonce and Jay Z have not confirmed the birth. "I'm so excited. I can't wait", she said.

But with no official word from Beyoncé or husband Jay-Z, there is still some doubt whether or not the twins have even been born.
