Bale to leave Real Madrid if Mbappe signs for La Liga champions

Mbappe's father, Wilfried, had doubts over his son's possible move to the Champions League winners, which originally led to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger taking advantage.

The 18-year-old is the hottest property in all of Europe and as such his future is the subject of much speculation.

However, according to English daily Metro, it is Bale, whose departure from the Spanish giants is most likely.

Meanwhile, claims that Arsenal have made Stoke City's Jack Butland "their number one goalkeeping target" as they face up to life after Petr Cech. It does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool Football Club.

However, this could also mean (should also mean) that, since Lacazette is solving that age-old vacancy, it therefore ends the pursuit of Kylian Mbappe.

It is understood that the Merseyside club have previously registered an interest in the France worldwide and are in the running for his signature.

Real Madrid have reportedly agreed verbal terms with the player and the youngster has also told the Monaco hierarchy that he will only opt for a transfer to the European champions.

But his aim is very clear: "to sign for one of the two biggest clubs in the world, they are Real Madrid or Barcelona for him, before reaching the age of 22." .

And while a deal for Mbappe looks unlikely at this stage, Liverpool are at least ensuring that they feature in the conversations the player will have with his representatives should he opt to leave Monaco.

Another forward heading towards the Emirates exit is Lucas Perez with the Evening Standard reporting that Sevilla have made enquiries.

It's that sentiment that has given Arsenal encouragement they could pull off a sensational coup but the north Londoners will face some stiff competition if Mbappe does decide to come to the Premier League.

"The idea is to be able to play for another club", said agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle.
