The Big Bus organizes visits to the most popular tourist attractions in Paris, with its red open buses offering panoramic views of the capital of France.
One person is in serious condition and another three suffered injuries when a bus belonging to tour company Cars Rouges hit the Alexandre III Bridge on Friday afternoon, local media reports.
Fires services are at the scene and are trying to remove the bus, which is still stuck in the tunnel.
About 20 passengers were taking the tour when the crash occurred. Its top-level windshield appeared smashed and what looked like a tent roof was collapsed.
The bus was traveling from the Place de la Concorde when it crashed in the tunnel on a roadway under the Alexandre III bridge, police said.
Big Bus Tours, the bus company, told The Associated Press that the driver took the tunnel because other routes in the city were closed.
