Titanfall 2 continues to march forward with new content for players to check out almost 8 months after its launch. In it, they mentioned new DLC and highlighted their plan to enhance Titanfall 2 for the Xbox One X.
Launching on October 28th previous year (so nearly 10 months ago), apparently Titanfall 2 is still going relatively strong, with over one million monthly active players.
The first of the maps to be included in Titanfall 2's The War Games update is appropriately named "War Games", and appears to be a revival of the DLC map from the original game.
We will be getting a trailer for The War Games at launch, but for now, let's go over everything that we will be getting with this DLC. It features a mix of wide-open city streets for titan combat and multistory buildings with large windows for pilot battles. The second will be playable in the Live Fire mode where you're fighting on a test site full of wreckage and spots that Aldo Raine would call "a goddamn snipers delight".
The main map, War Games, is an urban environment created in a pilot simulator pod. The outskirts of the map feature a clean, VR style flawless for Titan duels, while Pilots are often found running along the bright, interconnected wallrunning routes.
3 Weapon Slot for Pilots - You will now be able to equip a primary, secondary, and anti-titan weapon. With "Titan Brawl" moving up to permanent mode, "Free Agents" will now be the new featured mode for "Titanfall 2". In order to unlock it, players will need to kill 20 Pilots with a holopilot ability active.
Xbox One X console support had already been stated by other Microsoft statements but EA has now confirmed that this means that Titanfall 2 will get an update that will add true 4K resolution and dynamic super scaling.
More additional balance changes, features, and updates will be provided in patch notes closer to launch.
