Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio, center, reacts during the Confederations Cup, Group A soccer match between Mexico and New Zealand, at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi, Russia, Wednesday, June 21, 2017.
"It has been verified that there are no grounds for any disciplinary action to be taken", read FIFA's statement on the issue.
Participants in the 2017 Confederations Cup are hosts Russian Federation, 2014 FIFA World Cup Champions Germany, 2015 Copa America Champions Chile, 2015 AFC Asian Cup Champion Australia, 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup winners Mexico, 2016 UEFA Euro Cup champs Portugal, OFC (Oceania Football Confederation) Nations Cup victors New Zealand and 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations Champion Cameroon.
Mexico made eight changes for the second game against New Zealand and will be without defender Carlos Salcedo, while PSV Eindhoven's Hector Moreno is also a doubt. Things escalated from there, and Osorio ultimately apologized later for his part in the situation. The top two teams advance to the semifinals.
Portugal just need a point in their final game to confirm a place in the semi finals of the competition and we can expect them to rest a few key players. "At Euro 2016, we won four games and the fact that it was done in extra time shows our good preparation to play long games", he said.
Ronaldo was rested at times by Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane towards the end of the season and reaped the benefits as he helped his club secure both the LaLiga and Champions League titles.
"We know how to adapt to different opponents".
"Whether we are doing well or not people will always criticise us so we [the players] don't care what they say".
New Zealand have already been eliminated.
The Kiwis, appearing at the Confederations Cup for the fourth time, are still hunting their first win in the tournament after just one draw and 10 defeats. "They're fifth for a reason and we'll have confidence going into that game". A one-goal win could also do the trick for Australia if Germany loses and Australia outscores the Germans (who now hold a one-goal advantage).
Record scorer Hernandez is likely to spearhead the attacking line for Mexico in a 4-3-3 formation of a lineup that will more closely resemble the one that faced Portugal. We play away from home against the hosts with a lot of support from their fans fighting for qualification.
Having injured his acromioclavicular-joint ligaments, the 23-year-old has had to leave the Mexico camp and will take no further part in the tournament.
