LaVar Ball Makes Bold Lakers Prediction, Gets Trolled By Joel Embiid

Ball recently claimed that his son Lonzo, Los Angeles' No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, will help the Lakers return to the playoffs in his first year in the league.

Although it's too early to tell where the 2017 class will land among previous groups, Thursday night's draft was certainly more talked about. Today, Hot New Hip Hop reported on Ball's "shocking" prediction for the 2017-18 National Basketball Association season, "I'm going to tell you what: Lonzo Ball is going to take the Lakers to the playoffs his first year".

"I'm just thankful for everybody helping me get here, and I'm truly blessed to be able to play for my hometown, and I can't wait to get on the court", Ball said.

Ball, a 6ft 6ins point guard from Anaheim who broke the UCLA record for most assists in a season, was selected by the Lakers with the second pick. "I'm very confident in my game". They made their mark by completing a few trades since taking over, but the draft is the first real indication of how they gauge talent and think about roster construction. If you use a sports analogy in another sport, you look at passers like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers that just have an ability to do something that is so special with where they put the ball and where they deliver it.

Proud papa, non-stop hype man and brash and shrewd businessman, LaVar Ball is part Donald Trump, Don King, Ari Gold, the late Muhammed Ali and Kris Jenner rolled into one multi-cultural, bi-racial package of flair, bravado and marketing savvy.

Magic Johnson: "I think we have great young weapons around him. All I can do is go out there and play". Shoes are expected to ship around the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend. "It's been working for me", he stated.

Thursday night's NBA Draft was expected to present a more exciting crop of future NBA players than previous year and had been lauded as holding the best potential draft class in recent memory.

The pressure is on for Lonzo. "And all I can say is, we walked away from that time really impressed with the family".
