Disneyland devotee visits park for 2000 days in a row

He even met his new girlfriend, Karen Bell, at the theme park.

Jeff Reitz started to visit the theme park back in 2012 after receiving a season pass from a friend and has gone back every day since. Here, Reitz snaps a selfie with The Mad Hatter and Alice after a teacup ride at the Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland at Disneyland during his 2,000th visit to the park. Both were unemployed at the time, and used the daily visits as a way to keep their spirits up.

"The number one thing I tell people is to bring your patience", Reitz said.

Later that year, Reitz landed a job at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, and Mickesh found employment too.

He had initially meant to end his daily visits after a year, but made a decision to keep the streak going.

As of yesterday, Mr Reitz had visited the park 2000 days in a row - every day for five and a half years.

"It's become a living breathing thing along the way", he told the Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/2tDcbGS ).

For food, Reitz has tried about everything, but calls Pizza Port his "go to place" for the pasta and soft drinks.

"I've gotten to experience so much of the magic of Disney that it continues to be fun for me", he said. McClintock isn't aware of any other attendance streak that would compare.

"There's nothing I would turn away from, I'm looking forward to checking out the new dance show for kids at Disney Junior in Disney California Adventure", Reitz said.

Reitz, 44, said he enjoys the attractions - his favorite ride is the Matterhorn Bobsleds - and shows, as well as listening to the music and interacting with park employees, whom Disney refers to as cast members.
