Who's No. 3? NBA draft intrigue begins after Fultz, Ball

"Welcome to the team Lonzo Ball".

Former UCLA star Lonzo Ball is still projected as the Los Angeles Lakers' first round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, but don't expect veterans to take it easy on the rookie.

The Lakers also don't appear concerned by LaVar Ball, the family patriarch with aspirations of building a global sports empire around his three talented sons. LaVar, for example, once proclaimed his son better than Stephen Curry.

Fox, the most charismatic and perhaps the most gifted of the bunch, said: "What do I know about the triangle?" "It brings out the competitor in you". He's grown up in the Los Angeles area and played college basketball at UCLA. "I always play for my home town".

Despite some reports about how the Lakers might either trade their pick or choose a different player with it, many NBA analysts-and Lonzo's dad LaVar-are convinced that Magic Johnson is going to make Lonzo his first draft pick as the Lakers' president of basketball operations.

When asked how he'd feel if the Lakers did not pick him after working him out twice, Ball also said he didn't mind.

"I don't know what he's going to do". Lonzo does not follow his father's lead in every area-"I don't think I say anything too insane", he muses-but he embraced that bit of advice.

"I try not to think about it too much", Markkanen said. "Wherever I go is fine".

His game has brought superlatives from all corners. Unfortunately, it's probably because of something outlandish his father, LaVar Ball, has said or done. He shoots it in a weird way but it goes in, so it's effective. "I think that's who we're going to get and I'm exciting for him".

Lonzo Ball and Markelle Fultz both skipped the NBA combine in Chicago last month, but neither of them will skip Thursday's NBA Draft. The Lakers did not get distracted by Ball's outrageous father or his exorbitant footwear.

"We get a little exhausted of it, but it's fine".

Step for step, few people can keep up with Kentuckys one-and-done point guard on the court. "He'll help improve our culture with the way he plays, the way he passes, his selfless nature, and that's why we took him".

"There's something very, very special about his basketball abilities", Pelinka said about the younger Ball. Obviously he's a competitor, I'm a competitor.

Unfortunately, Butler would want to stay in Chicago, according to TNT's David Aldridge. If the Lakers' 2018 first-round pick is No. 1 or is No. 6 or later, the Sixers will instead give the Celtics the rights to the more favorable of the Sixers' own 2019 first-round pick or the Sacramento Kings' 2019 first-round pick, provided that the more favorable pick is not the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. His four years at Villanova allowed him to sharpen his game and become the all-around player he is now. "Definitely fast tempo. Been playing like that my whole life". "Everybody is getting pushed out of position. Center's a power forward, power forward's a center".

Target or no target.
