Special election losses leave Democrats divided, searching

The response from some: It better be.

President Donald Trump dealt Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi with what only be described as a backhanded compliment on Thursday, saying the Democratic member of Congress is actually good for the Republican party.

The apparent effectiveness of that messaging suggested to some that the 77-year-old Californian could be a liability for Democrats as they aim to regain their majority. And control of the House of Representatives could still be in play in the 2018 midterm elections. I see that Democrats are coming out and they're not coming out in the numbers perhaps you want them to come out in.

"I think people need to stop talking about every single election as a referendum against Trump. every individual election has to be about the individual candidates in that geographical area", said Schiavoni.

As rumblings of dissatisfaction with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi grow among Democrats, Rep. Seth Moulton said her future "certainly" needed to be a topic of discussion. Republicans have won all four of the four special elections that have been held under President Trump.

Even though Trump won the reliably red state in the 2016 presidential election, he did so by just 1 percent, as opposed to former Republican candidate Mitt Romney, who claimed the state with a 26-point lead.

Handel edged out her Democratic opponent, Jon Ossoff, in a much anticipated run-off election to replace Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.

"She is not a liability to the Republicans: We love her", Hoekstra, who served from 1993 to 2011, told host Bill Tucker on Wednesday's "America Talks Live". So it's time for change.

"The brand is just bad", the OH lawmaker told CNN's Don Lemon Wednesday. Democrats have to pick up 24 House seats to get back into power.

Just hours before the news conference, moderate Democratic Rep. Kathleen Rice of NY reiterated her call that it was time for Pelosi to step aside.

When it comes to personal ambition and having fun on TV, have your fun.

Rice's sentiment was echoed by other House Democrats in recent months including Reps.

Pelosi, in a letter to colleagues, said that when Trump nominated House members to serve in his administration, he chose them from Republican districts the party knew it could win. More than $50 million was spent on the race in Atlanta's wealthy suburbs, making it the costliest House race in history. They demonized her in 2006.

"Nancy Pelosi was a great speaker". We need a vision-where are we going?
